These are a few of the strategies I use for getting larger affiliate checks on a monthly basis.
Optimize Your Website For The Search Engines
People have to be able to find your website, so it must come up on the first page of the search engines for your chosen keyword phrase. People rarely move on to the second or subsequent pages of the search engine results.
If people can't locate you, they can't buy from you.
Product Review Pages
Your site should contain reviews of the products or services you are promoting. People need to know why they should buy a product and be compelled to own it.
Make every page of your website compelling and use a call to action. In other words if you want a visitor to click on your link, ask them to do that. If you want them to sign up for your newsletter, tell them to do it. Get your reader to take action by giving them reasons to take the action.
Don't let your Visitors Get Away
On average, 1% of the people who visit an affiliate marketing websites will buy immediately. The other 99% will move along and never return.
One way keep from losing a visitor forever is to get their name and email addresses before they leave by placing an offer for something free on your webpage. Then follow up. Often, by the seventh time you contact that prospect, they will decide to buy.
Sweeten The Pot
People love it when you can give them something free or give them a bonus. So it only makes sense that you sweeten the pot with an additional free bonus when promoting a product or service.
For example, let's say you are promoting a hosting service. The best way to get your visitors to make a purchase is to offer a free bonus that you will give them for placing an order or work a deal with the affiliate manager whereby you can offer a special money off coupon code or a substantial discount.
